Tri-State Chapter Chronology

The AEPi Table: Still Standing After All These Years

- Bob Phillips, a transfer student from Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, starts organizing an Alpha Epsilon Pi group on the Tri-State campus.

- Original members come together and rent "the farmhouse" at 718 West Prospect starting in the fall.

- AEPi colony officially established in the spring with its first initiation at Indiana Tech. Acacia moves out of property at 506 S. College, and AEPi brothers start renting it from the college. Chemistry professor Dr. Chester Pinkham begins serving as advisor.

- AEPi holds its first pig roast using a barbecue spit donated by Skip Hamilton, proprietor of Skip's Lounge and a local supporter of the fraternity. The pig roast has since become our longest running tradition.

- Tri-State College changes its name to Tri-State University.

- AEPi colony disbands and remaining members adopt the name "Nu Pi" and begin operating as a local fraternity.

- Nu Pi becomes an interest group of Triangle Fraternity. Dr. Larry Samuelson begins serving as advisor.

- Triangle colony officially established with first pledge class initiated at the Armour chapter on December 6, 1986.
